Four our first Play Day, we’re going to be setting up a trail course in the arena. A good way to get going again after the winter and a good opportunity to work on different obstacles either in-hand, with long lines or ridden.
The roundpen is also available for use.
John will be available throughout the day with help and advice.
There’s space in Kola’s Korner if you’d like to stay over and of course there are also stables/fields for your horse.
Spectators are very welcome.
£10/day per person for use of facilities. Please bring your own lunch.

New for 2019, we’re going to have several Play Days throughout the year.
We’re hoping for these to be fun days for like-minded riders to meet up at Blackford Glen and use the facilities available.
We can use the roundpen and the arena to:
-Work on mastering trail obstacles
-Work on long lining, roundpenning, liberty work
-Work on our showmanship skills
-Ride pleasure classes together
-And whatever else we fancy doing
We can also go for trail rides down the Glen or up the Braids. If people would like to work on specific things we can also plan ahead and set things up beforehand. All ideas are welcome – do get in touch with anything you might like to work on.
